Science
Quarter One .. I chose this essay for my Science selection because I got a 93 on it. Usually in Science I don't do that well so I was very surprised
when I got this back. Hopefully throughout the year my grades improve and I continue working hard. When doing that I now know
you do get rewarded and it's great to get a good grade on something you worked hard for. Doing essays in Science are not as
hard as the sound. All you need to do is collect the right information and form it into the proper formatting Mrs. Tift gives us. Essaysare not something you rush. Usually they count more then tests or quizes do. So I am glad I succeeded in this essay.
Quarter Two ..
Science is usually my second highest subject, next to ELA. But this year its gone down. I have been getting 80's and 70's in this class, which is not good enough for my liking. In every class I would at least like to get 90's and above. This assignment was for us to write a letter to Alfred Wegner who created the theory of Continental Drift. It was our "test" for that section. Mrs. Tift told us that we had our chapter Test and she gave us this. Usually we have multiple choice, essay questions, and fill in the blank. But not on this one. During the test I thought I would get a good grade. I was confident on at least getting a 90. But when I got this back I was a bit disappointed. I know I did well, but I could of done better. I really want to bring my science grade up. And I intend on doing that this quarter.
Quarter Three ..
I chose this work for Science third quarter because this was one of the funnest and easiest labs. We were to make crystals and then figures out of pipe cleaners. Usually when doing labs, we all try and partner up with Jimmy but this lab was so easy that it surprised me. I started to figure the quesitons and directions fast adn was actually one of the first to finish and got a high grade.
Quarter Four ..
I chose these piece of Science because I had recieved a good grade. In Science, especially this quarter, I havn't been doing so well. I've been getting low and high eightys but havn't been getting the grades I hoped for. I was happy I had gotten a 93 in this. Learning the rock cycle was fairly easy and also easy to remember. Also the types of rock was easy to learn and the way the rock were. For example how cooling causes igneous rock while compaction adn cementation causes sedimentary rock. As the year ends we have Science testing which just ended today. Luckily the year has been less complicated then the NECAPs.
